Richard Epstein, professor of law at New York University and author of the Hoover Institution’s The Libertarian blog, will discuss social welfare when he speaks at the University of Iowa College of Law on Thursday, March 6.
Epstein will deliver the Richard S. Levitt Distinguished Lecture, “Understanding Social Welfare: Theoretical Issues and Practical Implications,” at 4 p.m. in the Levitt Auditorium in the Boyd Law Building.
Epstein also teaches at the University of Chicago and has authored dozens of books and hundreds of scholarly articles about the law. His opinion pieces have been published in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times, and he is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution.
