The University of Iowa Department of Theatre Arts will present a Gallery Production, Monopoly, written by Sarah Cho and directed by Ashley Pettit, at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Jan. 30-Feb. 1, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, in Theatre B of the UI Theatre Building.
Tickets for Gallery Productions are available in the Theatre Building lobby one hour before showtime. Tickets are $5 (free for UI students with a valid ID).
Set in Detroit, Monopoly is a play about two sisters, Arnie and Ellie, who are left home alone without any adult supervision. They must learn to take care of themselves and each other as their home is about to get demolished.
Monopoly contains strong language. Parental guidance is advised for younger audiences.
The Department of Theatre Arts is part of the Division of Performing Arts in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
