UI ranks in top half of 100 colleges and universities

The University of Iowa is among the top 100 best values in higher education, according to Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine. The university was ranked 49th among 100 four-year public colleges or universities that deliver a stellar education at an affordable price.

Colleges and universities were ranked according to academic quality, including admission and retention rates, student-faculty ratios, and four- and six-year graduation rates, as well as on cost and financial aid.
