Points were at a premium at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 8, but school spirit could be seen in abundance as the University of Iowa and Iowa State University football squads clashed on the UI turf.

The Cyclones held off a late Hawkeye rally to win, 9-6. The Iowa defense gave the Hawkeye faithful reasons to cheer, creating key turnovers while holding ISU scoreless in the second half.
