Registration is open for University of Iowa Recreational Services fall tennis classes.
Classes are available for all ages, and begin the week of Sept. 9.
Adult classes cover basic strokes and strategy with drills and play. Beginner, advanced beginner/intermediate, and intermediate classes are available. Fees are $78 for members, and $90 for non-members. For more information, visit recserv.uiowa.edu/Apps/Programs/Tennis.aspx.
Youth classes include Tiny Tots (ages 4-5), Herky (ages 5-7), Black I (ages 8-12), Black II (ages 8-12), Gold I (8-12), Hawk I (ages 12-18), and Gold II (ages 13-18), as well as a Junior League Play and QuickStart Play Days. Advanced students may enroll in the Hawkeye Tennis Academy to prepare for United States Tennis Association tournaments. The classes are: Academy Level 3 (ages 7-12), Academy Level 2 (ages 9-16) and Academy Level 1 (ages 13-18).
Classes are held at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex, 2820 Prairie Meadows Drive, Iowa City.
