The summer may be winding down, but events at the University of Iowa Museum of Art are just beginning! Come join us at the UIMA’s First Friday event.

For $5, enjoy music, drinks and hors d’oeuvres with fellow art lovers at Stella Restaurant, located on Melrose Avenue just west of Kinnick Stadium, from 5-7 p.m. on Aug. 3.

Hors d’oeuvres and drink specials will be available courtesy of Stella. Entertainment will feature the musical stylings of Rachael Marie.

UIMA First Fridays provide an ideal, family-friendly chance to usher in your weekend and mingle with other art enthusiasts for a great cause.

First Friday participants can also choose to become full members of the UIMA. Benefits include home delivery of the UIMAmagazine and a donor card that allows for free admission to the Figge Art Museum in Davenport—which currently houses the UIMA’s collection—and to more than 20 other art museums.
