Anstreicher, who will assume the position June 15, will take on the role vacated by Chuck Whiteman. Anstreicher will work closely with incoming Tippie College Dean Sarah Gardial and will oversee faculty matters, graduate programs, and technology issues within the college.

Anstreicher was recently elected a Fellow of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), and was a Fellow in the 2011-12 CIC Academic Leadership Program (ALP). He is completing a five-year term as editor-in-chief of the journal Mathematical Programming Series A.

He teaches primarily in the college’s MBA programs and has received the Executive MBA G.R.E.A.T. Instructor of the Year Award several times. He joined the college in 1991.

“I believe Kurt Anstreicher is a wonderful choice for the role of senior associate dean,” says Curt Hunter, current Tippie dean. “He is a respected leader within the college and across the broader university and possesses the skills and attributes necessary to be effective in this role.”

Nick Street will be replacing Anstreicher as department executive officer for management sciences, effective June 15.
