More than 330 students came together at the seventh annual Loras College Dance Marathon last weekend and raised more than $155,800, making the event the top Dance Marathon fundraiser per capita across the country.
The 12-hour dance marathon was held at the Dubuque College on Friday, April 20 through Saturday, April 21. This year’s efforts bring the total amount raised by Loras College Dance Marathon to $590,539.89.
Dance Marathon is a yearlong student-run philanthropic event that benefits University of Iowa Children’s Hospital through Children’s Miracle Network. The event teaches invaluable leadership skills while raising funds and interacting with UI Children’s Hospital patients and families.
