Iowa Flyers Swim Club recognized as Silver Medal Club on USA Swimming Club Excellence List

For the second consecutive year, the Iowa Flyers Swim Club, also known as IFLY, has been awarded the honor of a silver medal ranking in the USA Swimming Club Excellence program, recognizing the organization’s highest-performing clubs in the development of athletes 18 years and younger.

Michael Welsh receives 2017 Steven C. Beering Award

Welsh is director of the UI’s Pappajohn Biomedical Institute. His primary areas of research are cystic fibrosis pathogenesis and therapies, and the influence of brain pH on memory.
