Kristen Radtke awarded a 2019 Whiting Creative Nonfiction Grant

Kristen Radtke, a 2012 graduate of the Nonfiction Writing Program at the University of Iowa, won the 2019 Whiting Creative Nonfiction Grant. Given annually by the Whiting Foundation, the grant awards $40,000 to a writer "in the process of completing a book of deeply researched and imaginatively composed nonfiction."

3 UI neuroscientists win NARSAD Young Investigator awards

Three University of Iowa scientists in the Iowa Neuroscience Institute (INI) have received NARSAD Young Investigator grants from the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation for projects focused on addiction, depression, and brain imaging. The two-year, $70,000 grants help promising young scientists launch careers in neuroscience and psychiatry.

Iowa joins Carnegie Project Ed.D. consortium

University of Iowa has been invited by The Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED) to join the CPED’s consortium of 115 institutional members.
