Students and faculty in the University of Iowa Department of Dance choreographed and performed for Dance Gala 2022 as the annual event made its return to the Hancher stage for the first time in two years.
The performance, titled In Motion, featured a diverse program with original choreography by Iowa faculty that addressed heavy topics— like mental illness, coping, and community. It also featured live musical performances by the School of Music, analog and virtual technology, and production assistance from the Performing Arts Production Unit.
The event also included works by guest artists Alice Klock and Florian Lochner.
