The names of each candidate will be announced the day before their visit. At that time, the candidate’s curriculum vitae will be made available on the College of Dentistry dean search website.

UI Executive Vice President and Provost Kevin Kregel named search committee co-chairs and committee members in May.

Dean David Johnsen announced Feb. 25 plans to step down as dean in June 2021. In April, Galen Schneider, executive associate dean and associate dean for faculty, was named interim dean.

The new dean is expected to be named in early 2022.
