Committee will interview, evaluate semifinalists

The University of Iowa Presidential Search Committee will meet virtually on April 1—3.

The purpose of the meeting is to interview and evaluate semifinal candidates for the presidency of the University of Iowa. In accordance with Iowa Code, all interviews will be conducted in closed session and candidate identities will not be revealed. A total of 12 candidates have been invited to participate in virtual interviews.

At the conclusion of the April 3 meeting, the committee is expected to recommend a number of finalists who will be invited to campus.

The Board of Regents is a group of nine citizen volunteers who govern the state’s three public universities and two special K-12 entities—the Iowa School for the Deaf and Iowa Educational Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired—through policymaking, coordination and oversight.
