The University of Iowa has been named one of the top universities in the United States and the world in a ranking by the Times of London’s higher education supplement.

The ranking placed the UI at 162nd among the 797 U.S.-based colleges and universities surveyed by the venerable British daily. The university was included in the 201-250 ranking among the 1,527 global institutions surveyed.

The Times Higher Education (THE) ranking measured universities based on four categories: resources, engagement, outcomes, and environment.
