The University of Iowa’s Iowa John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (Iowa JPEC) is the co-recipient of a $100,000 grant from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City, Missouri, to expand entrepreneurial education training in Iowa.

The grant, shared with Iowa State University’s JPEC, will be used by educators to help solve specific challenges entrepreneurs in the region face, and to participate in facilitated, peer-learning communities of practice to share knowledge across the region. The grant is part of the Kauffman Foundation’s Heartland Challenge to help entrepreneurs in the Midwest create and build new businesses and will focus on science and technology-oriented educators.

The project will culminate with an event for entrepreneurs, educators, and investors in spring 2021.
