Jane Huffman, grants and funding manager for the Iowa Youth Writing Project, was awarded a Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation.

The five winners of this award were selected from more than 1,500 entries. Each poet receives a $25,800 prize, making the fellowships among the largest and most prestigious awards available for young poets in the United States. 

Huffman grew up outside of Detroit, Michigan. She earned a BA from Kalamazoo College and an MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Her poems have appeared in Poetry magazine, the New YorkerFIELDThe Iowa Review, and elsewhere.
