A university search committee has announced the first finalist for the next vice president for research at the University of Iowa.

J. Martin Scholtz, executive associate vice president for research at Texas A&M University College of Medicine in College Station, Texas, will visit campus on Thursday, Feb. 14.

An open forum will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, in the Iowa Memorial Union, Iowa Theater (room 166).

The name of each candidate invited to campus will be announced one day prior to his or her visit. The campus community is encouraged to provide feedback to the search committee through the committee’s website. The forums will be recorded and posted to the website within 48 hours of each candidate’s visit. A HawkID and password will be required for viewing.
