The Daily Iowan, the University of Iowa's student-run newspaper, won 13 first-place awards at the 2019 Iowa Newspaper Association Awards. The awards were announced during the INA's annual banquet Feb. 8 in Des Moines. 

With 73 total points from first-, second- and third-place finishes, The Daily Iowan earned the sixth most points among all newspapers in Iowa. The newspaper also finished second in General Excellence for the third consecutive year among daily newspapers with a circulation of less than 10,000.
