CASE honors Tippie College of Business for summer Instagram campaign

The Tippie College of Business received a gold award in the Best Use of Social Media category from CASE District VI this month for summertime student takeover campaigns of the college’s Instagram account.

Developed by Rebekah Tilley, the college’s social media manager, the campaign allowed 13 students who were participating in summer internships or studying abroad to take over the college’s Instagram account and post a-day-in-the-life photos and narrative.

The campaign generated enough interest that growth of the college’s Instagram account increased by more than 24 percent over previous summers, a time of otherwise sluggish growth. Instagram impressions and profile visits also increased, as did impressions and engagements on Twitter, where the campaign was cross-promoted.
