The Iowa MBA program’s student-managed Henry Fund investment portfolio was recently named the winner of its class in the GAME Forum, the largest student-managed investment competition in the world.

The competition is based on risk-adjusted returns of the portfolio for the calendar year 2017. The Henry Fund returned 25.37 percent for the year, beating the S&P 500 by 3.5 percent.

Sponsored by Quinnipiac University, the GAME Forum conference was held March 22-24 in New York City. The Henry Fund was named the top fund in the Graduate Core category.

The Henry Fund was founded in 1994 with gifts from benefactors Henry Royer and Henry Tippie to give future financial analysts experience managing real investments. It’s managed by finance students in Tippie College of Business’ Iowa MBA full-time program. The analysts who managed the fund in 2017 are Andrey Uuemaa, Aric Jensen, Chris Sankot, Juhi Narang, Justin Svenson, Kriti Anand, Luv Bhagria, Sam Norman, Shen Shen, Siddhanta Chandra, and Venkat Ravichandran. All are second-year MBA students.
