The University of Iowa Office of the President announced Saturday, April 29, the first candidate for the position of vice president for student life. 

Melissa Shivers, associate vice chancellor for student life and dean of students at University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will visit campus Sunday, April 30, and Monday, May 1. You can view Shivers’ brief biography on the Vice President for Student Life Search website. 

An open forum for faculty, staff, and students will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Monday, May 1, in Room W401 of the Pappajohn Business Building on the UI campus.
