A new closure on West Park Road is scheduled for the week of July 11 and not this week as previously announced.

Gateway Project construction will close West Park Road, between North Riverside Drive and the Upper City Park exit, weather permitting. This will effectively close through-traffic access between North Dubuque Street and west campus.

A marked detour route will be posted. Pedestrian traffic will be directed to use the Hancher Pedestrian Bridge. Drivers and pedestrians should use caution when traveling through construction areas and allow for extra time to reach their destinations.

Drivers also should consider delays due to construction on North Dubuque Street when planning their routes.

UI Parking and Transportation anticipates delays to the Red and Blue CAMBUS routes, and riders should plan accordingly.
