Iowa Law Review was recently ranked 15th in Washington and Lee University School of Law’s Law Review Rankings, and the Journal of Corporation Law came in second among Corporate Business Law Journals.

Washington and Lee University Law School released its annual ranking of law journals based on the reporting period from 2008 to 2015. Iowa Law Review ranked 15th among English-language law journals on the combined score of citation count and “impact.”   

The Journal of Corporation Law ranked second on the combined citation and impact score for English-language specialty journals in corporations and business law. It was ranked first in the corporate specialty in citation count. 

Iowa Law’s journals are all student-edited, and these rankings provide an important example of student achievement.

In previous rankings, ILR’s highest placement was 18. Its ranking has been rising steadily in recent years, with stops at 25, 23, 22, and 21. JCL’s highest ranking has been second. Over the years, it has consistently been in the top six, with placements at fourth and third.
