The University of Iowa Department of Dance will present Dance Gala 2015 for one week only, in December this year. The concert will take place Dec. 8–12 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 12 and 13 at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in Space Place Theater (101 North Hall).

"UI’s Dance Gala showcases some of the best choreography and dance from one of the most highly acclaimed dance programs in the country. Audience members will experience the powerful energy, graceful flight, and electrifying performances led by the University of Iowa's internationally acclaimed faculty choreographers Charlotte Adams, Eloy Barragán, Jennifer Kayle, Kristin Marrs, and Michael Sakamoto," as noted on the UI dance program's website.
This performance will feature:
Charismata, choreographed by Kristin Marrs;
Soil, choreographed by Michael Sakamoto, Chey Chankethya, Nguyen Nguyên, Waewdao Sirisook;
Sapien Non Sapien, choreographed by Jennifer Kayle, in collaboration with the cast;
Upon Awakening, choreographed by Eloy Barragán; and
I Shall Wear My Trousers Rolled, choreographed by Charlotte Adams, in collaboration with the dancers.
