The American Educational Research Association (AERA) awarded Teniell Trolian and Gwendolyn Archibald, both doctoral students in the College of Education, the Division J 2015 Outstanding Poster Award.

The poster, titled "Social Experiences in College: Influencing Students' Psychological Well-Being," corresponded with a study into the influence of students' social and interaction experiences in college on their psychological well-being. The study results suggested that positive peer interactions, as well as those with diverse peers, positively influenced students' fourth-year psychological well-being. The study also found that hours spent socializing and relaxing  and negative interaction with diverse peers negatively influenced fourth-year psychological well-being.

Trolian and Archibald will be recognized for their  work at AERA's 2016 Division J meeting in Washington, D.C.
