The University of Iowa's 2016 benefits open enrollment period for merit employees has begun, running through Nov. 23, 2015.

For 2016, there are changes to the health insurance plans offered and their premiums, and to the health care Flexible Spending Account. There is also a dental insurance open enrollment.

The Benefits Office will have a number of short informational meetings during open enrollment covering these changes and will focus on using benefits strategically. Informational packets are being sent through campus mail.

NOTE: Open enrollment has not yet begun for faculty, professional & scientific, and merit supervisory/exempt employees. Open enrollment for these employees begins Nov. 1 and runs through Nov. 15.
