Niels Oestervemb, of the College of Dentistry, was Board Certified by the American Board of General Dentistry (ABGD). He is currently the only general dentist in the state of Iowa that is Board Certified by the ABGD.

Board certification by the American Board of General Dentistry signifies the pinnacle of achievement in general dentistry and is an individual credential beyond any other in general dentistry. 

Oestervemb is a clinical assistant professor in the College of Dentistry at the University of Iowa.
