Renee S. Cole, associate professor of physical chemistry and chemistry education in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Leonard MacGillivray, professor of organic chemistry in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, were named as American Chemical Society Fellows. 

The 2015 class of ACS Fellows includes 78 distinguished scientists who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in chemistry and important contributions to ACS, the world's largest scientific society.
