William S. Kurth, a research scientist in the University of Iowa Department of Physics and Astronomy, was elected as an American Geophysical Union Fellow for his seminal contributions to space plasma wave research throughout the solar system, and recognized during an Honors Ceremony on 17 December 2014 in San Francisco, California.
