The University of Iowa Department of Dance outreach program—the University of Iowa Youth Ballet and School of Dance—has recently added a third level to their adult classical ballet program.

Beginning this spring, Absolute Beginning Ballet will be added to the roster. Meeting the demand of a growing number of dedicated adult learners, the UIYB adult program is expanding to meet the needs of the students.

Jason Schadt, Youth Ballet artistic co-coordinator, guides the class; he brings a thorough background of both ballet pedagogy and the unique learning patterns of adults to the course.
