The No. 18 ranked University of Iowa women's basketball team erased a 10-point deficit with 13:13 remaining in the second half to defeat the No. 15 Nebraska Cornhuskers, 78-72, in overtime on Monday night (Jan. 26) inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Iowa trailed, 61-60 with 4.5 seconds left and had to travel the length of the court to get off a potential game-winning shot. Samantha Logic threw a perfect inbound pass to Bethany Doolittle at half court, who then handed the ball to a sprinting Whitney Jennings. Nebraska committed a foul as Jennings drove to the hoop with 1.8 seconds remaining and the freshman made one of her two free throws to force overtime.

The Hawkeyes outscored Nebraska, 17-11 in overtime to seal the win.

Iowa now sits alone in second place in the Big Ten and faces Northwestern Thursday night in Evanston, Ill. before hitting the road to take on first place Maryland on Sunday.
