Two online offerings from the University of Iowa Alumni Association (UIAA) give Hawkeye sports fans plenty of reasons to cheer.

This past November, the association launched a new online history of Iowa men’s basketball. For the first time, “Hawkeyes on the Hardwood” brings together in one location facts and stats about the Hawkeye hoopsters, from 1901 right up to the current season.

Photographs and stories chart the development of the game at the UI, from the early days in the Old Armory through to the Field House and finally Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Plus, the website highlights unforgettable players, coaches, and games, including the “Fab Five,” Tom Davis, and two Big Ten Tournament championships.

Additionally, the UIAA has updated its popular “Gridiron Glory” website, a multimedia celebration of more than a century of Hawkeye football, complete with archive film and audio, photographs, stats, and stories. As well as a stunning new design, the website now displays tweets that use the hashtag #HawkeyeFootball, providing fans a way to track online conversation about the team.
