University of Iowa President Sally Mason met with reporters Wednesday, Oct. 8 at Jessup Hall as part of her regularly scheduled media availabilities.

During the meeting, Mason discussed student success, the importance of keeping college affordable, and several new and expanded scholarship opportunities to attract more high-achieving students and boost enrollment across the board.

President Mason will meet with media representatives periodically throughout the academic year to share updates on the university and take questions on the record. Each session is scheduled from 10 to 10:30 a.m.
