UI Town Hall set for Oct. 9

Following is an update on Rising to the Next TIER, the transformation and efficiency study of Iowa’s public universities commissioned by the Iowa Board of Regents.

Check the University of Iowa’s TIER website for weekly updates, and submit recommendations for the study online.

During the week of Sept. 22, the Deloitte team met with university leadership on all three campuses in preparation for a special meeting of the Iowa Board of Regents on Thursday, Oct. 2.

Deloitte has been gathering additional data and feedback on eight remaining administrative business cases in Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, and Facilities. A list of the business cases can be found on the Board of Regents website. These business cases were first presented during TIER Town Hall public forums in June.

Earlier in September, the Board of Regents decided to seek additional input from faculty and staff, approving an extended timeline for approval of the remaining business cases.

As with every Board of Regents meeting, the Oct. 2 meeting will be streamed live via the regents’ website.

The next UI TIER Town Hall meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 9, 9:30-10:30 a.m., in the second floor ballroom of the Iowa Memorial Union.
