WHAT: The C-SPAN bus will visit the University of Iowa campus on Thursday, Sept. 11 and Friday, Sept. 12.

The C-SPAN bus is an interactive, multi-media presentation center that travels the country to host tours for students and teachers, giving them an inside look at at C-SPAN's educational and political resources.

Students who visit the bus will have the opportunity to learn about C-SPAN internships, test their knowledge of public affairs through quizzes, and interact with touch screen computers that demonstrate many of C-SPAN's web resources.

WHEN: Students, faculty, and staff are invited to tour the bus on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

President Sally Mason will visit the bus on Friday, Sept. 12 at 8:15 a.m. for a live interview on issues facing higher education on the " Washington Journal," C-SPAN's morning call-in and interview program. The bus will not be open for student tours at this time.

WHERE: The C-SPAN bus will be parked behind Burge Hall, near the north end of the T. Anne Cleary walkway.

WHO: Students, faculty, and staff are invited to tour the bus.

ACCESSIBILITY CONTACT: Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all UI-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to tour the bus, call Hayley Bruce in advance at 319-384-0072.
