The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, universally known as RAGBRAI, designated Thursday’s ride from Mason City to Waverly, a 65.8 mile ride, as College Jersey Day. Riders were encouraged to wear a cycling jersey from their alma mater.

Iowa Now tagged along to see how well Iowa colors were displayed among the riders. While other Big Ten schools and other Iowa schools were well-represented among the thousands of riders, there was no mistaking the prevalence of the Black and Gold.
