The University of Iowa College of Education’s masters in educational leadership was ranked number 13 in U.S. News and World Report 2014 Best Online Programs for Veterans, tying with Regis University in Denver, Colorado for the slot.

The educational leadership graduate program took the number 14 place in 2013. Rankings were based upon previous data collected for a past U.S. News and World Report assessment of online college and university programs.

To qualify for this latest ranking, schools had to be certified for the GI Bill and participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program, federal initiatives that aid veterans with tuition and fees. They also had to be part of the Service members Opportunity Colleges Consortium.

Released May 20, the ranking comes on the heels of the inaugural U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges for Veterans, in which the UI ranked among the top 10.

The online educational leadership program is supported by the UI Division of Continuing Education.
