Are you a fan of the Lion King? Come learn how the real-life kings of the savanna grow up as the University of Iowa Museum of Natural History presents African Cats at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 4, in Macbride Auditorium.
This 2011 documentary, with narration by Samuel L. Jackson, features Mara, an endearing lion cub who strives to grow up with her mother’s strength, spirit, and wisdom; Sita, a fearless cheetah and single mother of five mischievous newborns; and Fang, a proud leader of the pride who must defend his family from a rival lion and his sons.
