University of Iowa Health Care specialists will hold a series of Mini-Medical School presentations on the science behind personalized cancer care over a three-week period beginning April 15 at 6:30 p.m. in Iowa City.

Despite its complexity, doctors and researchers are making progress in understanding the science of cancer, and using this science to improve care.

This Mini Medical School series will examine how every cancer is unique and how this information is shaping research, diagnosis, prevention, and therapy. Participants will learn how multidisciplinary cancer teams are working together to provide therapies that are both precise and personalized for each patient.

Register online at the Mini Medical School website, or call 319-335-8886. The $15 tuition fee covers all three sessions.
