Advice offered on how to be successful in obtaining tenure

The University of Iowa Chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP), Faculty Senate, and the Office of the Provost invite faculty to the annual Tenure Workshop Monday, March 31, in Room 116 of Art Building West. A panel of speakers will give advice on how to be successful in obtaining tenure and will discuss applicable procedures.

Speakers include professor of history and vice-president of the UI AAUP Chapter Jeff Cox, Former DEO in the Department of History of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Colin Gordon, university ombudsperson Susan Johnson, president of the Faculty Senate and associate professor of Psychology Erika Lawrence, deputy general counsel Maria Lukas, associate provost for Faculty Tom Rice, and professor of history and president of the UI AAUP Chapter Katherine Tachau.

Informal conversation and refreshments will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the formal program will begin at 7 p.m.

The workshop is freen and no registration is required.
