Iowa City Police received a report of a strong-arm robbery at the north entrance of the Old Capitol Mall, which houses the University Capitol Center at 9:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a winter hat, dark coat, khaki pants and dark shoes, and was last seen traveling eastbound by foot along Washington Avenue. No weapon was displayed in the incident.

Because the incident took place near the University of Iowa campus, UI Police issued a Hawk Alert notification to students, faculty and staff.
