The University of Iowa School of Music will present a Jazz Combo recital at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in the University Capitol Centre Recital Hall. The recital is free and open to the public.

The recital will feature Keegan Hackett (alto), David Nicholson (tenor), Lee Stickney (trumpet), Steve Grismore (guitar), Genji Onishi (bass), and Nathan Kooker (drums). They will perform the following:

  • “Played Twice” by Thelonious Monk
  • “So What” by Miles Davis/Bill Evans
  • “Cold Duck Time” by Eddie Harris
  • “Self-Portrait in Three Colors” by Charles Mingus
  • “Tears Inside” by Ornette Coleman
  • “Deconstructed” by Steve Swallow
  • “La Nostalgie De La Bone” by Steve Swallow
  • “Sister Sadie” by Horace Silver
  • “City Living” by Ornette Coleman

The School of Music is part of the Division of Performing Arts in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
