The University of Iowa Bands in the School of Music will present a free Chamber Winds concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 in Riverside Recital Hall on the UI campus.

The concert will feature members of the Symphony Band and an arrangement by UI undergraduate music major Dee Bierschenk. Graduate students Eric Bush, Ernest Jennings, Kevin Kessler, Steven Riley, and Carl Rowles—studying under director of bands Richard Mark Heidel—will serve as conductors.

The program is as follows:

  • Designs for Brass by Vaclav Nelhybel
  • Partita in E-Flat Major, Op. 69 by Franz Krommer
  • Suite Bergamasque by Claude Debussy, arr. Dee Bierschenk
  • Partita No. 6 in E-Flat by Georg Druschetzky
  • Children's Corner for Reed Quintet by Claude Debussy, arr. Raaf Hekkema
