Making the place we want to work

Giving to the university means giving back to the community and the state, says Rachel Marie-Crane Williams, associate professor of art and art history and gender, women's, and sexuality studies in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Williams sees her monthly gifts to the Women's Resource and Action Center—made through payroll deduction—as investments that build the kind of place she wants to live and work. Donating money, she says, is one of the best ways to make an impact.
