University of Iowa Recreational Services is offering another session of Bootcamp, a fitness class that combines functional sports training exercises, metabolic conditioning, and partner and group exercises.

Instructors have created a blend of cardio training, calisthenics, resistance training, and stretching for optimal fitness results. The class includes the most up-to-date fitness equipment—battle ropes, kettlebells, dynamax medicine balls, and more.

Bootcamp classes will help people lose body fat while increasing endurance and strength. The classes are taught by nationally certified personal trainers Rio Hall, John Helmsley, and Brooke Blazevich in the Mac Gym at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center (CRWC).

The class is offered at a variety of times, each class lasting approximately 45 minutes. Three sessions of the class meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and one session is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Registration for classes must be done through membership services in person at the CRWC or the UI Field House, or by phone at 319-335-9293.

  • Monday, Oct. 21- Friday, Nov. 22, 6:30-7:15 a.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 21-Friday, Nov. 22, 7:30-8:15 a.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 21- Friday, Nov. 22, 8:30-9:15 a.m.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 22- Thursday, Nov. 21, 6:30-7:15 a.m.
