The University of Iowa School of Music will present a free performance by the UI Chamber Orchestra, led by William LaRue Jones, director of orchestral studies, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, in Riverside Recital Hall.

Chun-Ming Chen, Benjamin Nadel, and David Tedford will join Jones as conductors for the performance.

The program will feature works by Beethoven, Maurice Ravel, Franz Joseph Haydn, and Giovanni Bottesini.

The Chamber Orchestra, designed for graduate students, is based around the ensemble format established during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Its repertoire covers a broad range from Classical and early Romantic composers to contemporary.

The School of Music is part of the Division of Performing Arts in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
