Author and investigative journalist Tracie McMillan will visit the University of Iowa on Wednesday, Oct. 16 to lead discussion and read from her book The American Way of Eating: Undercover at Walmart, Applebee’s, Farm Fields and the Dinner Table.

McMillan’s award winning work combines immersive reporting with established research to argue for the widespread availability of fresh, affordable produce.

A native of rural Michigan, McMillan is a sought-after lecturer who has made appearances on a number of television and radio programs, including the Rachel Maddow Show and the Peter Schiff Show.
