UI soccer's prep culminates in victory over intrastate rival

A record crowd. Another clean sheet for keeper Hannah Clark. Three first-class goals. Things went well for the University of Iowa soccer team last week, as the squad extended its winning streak against Iowa State with a 3-0 victory on Sept. 6.

As the above video shows, success under the lights comes from hard work, rest and recovery, and fine-tuning technique throughout the week on the practice field.

The undefeated Hawkeyes are back in action tonight (Sept. 13), hosting the St. Louis University Billikens at 7 p.m. at the Iowa Soccer Complex. Admission is free.

Hawkeye fans can keep up with their favorite teams by checking out new episodes of Hawkeye Sports Report. The latest episode previews this weekend's Iowa-ISU football game and volleyball's home opener.
