A new season of Inside Iowa kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, with an episode that has something for everyone, from flooding and football to a success story from the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.

The episode airs at 6:30 p.m. on UI Television (UITV), and again at 9 p.m. In Iowa City, UITV may be seen on Mediacom Channel 17.

Sunday’s 30-minute episode will explore how the UI campus worked together to prepare for and minimize damage from flooding this spring; how Hawkeye head football coach Kirk Ferentz, his wife, Mary, and coaches and athletes brought the game of football up close and personal to participants in the third annual Ladies Football Academy; why UI students, faculty and staff visited the Iowa State Capitol en masse this year; how Hawkeye football players supported a local elementary school reading program; why recent graduate and Hawkeye women’s basketball standout Morgan Johnson chose Iowa; and how UI Children’s Hospital successfully treated a boy with a chest abnormality.
