The second annual Get Ready Iowa workshop will take place this Wednesday, July 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Lindquist Center Jones Commons on the University of Iowa campus. The workshop is free and open to the public.

Get Ready Iowa is sponsored by the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies and the Delta Center at the UI. The workshop promotes collaboration and community building to address how all citizens can better facilitate early learning and prepare children for kindergarten.

Featured speakers include Tricia Zebrowski and Julia Hollister with the UI Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders who will discuss enhancing early literacy skills in English as a Second Language preschoolers.
